Tinubu Orders Army Deployment to Kwara After Terror Attack in Kaiama Communities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the immediate deployment of an army battalion to Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State following a deadly attack on villagers in Woro and Nuku communities.

The directive comes after suspected Boko Haram terrorists reportedly invaded the areas and killed several residents, leaving the affected communities in shock and fear. The incident has raised fresh concerns about security in parts of the North Central region.

According to reports, the attackers struck the villages, targeting defenseless locals and causing significant panic among residents. In response to the tragic development, the President approved the swift deployment of military personnel to restore order, protect lives, and prevent further attacks.

Security sources say the newly deployed troops are expected to strengthen surveillance, support local security structures, and maintain a strong presence in the affected areas to deter further threats.

The move is part of the Federal Government’s broader efforts to tackle insecurity and ensure that vulnerable communities receive adequate protection from violent groups. Residents have expressed hope that the presence of the military will help stabilize the situation and restore confidence in their safety.

Authorities have also assured that additional security measures will be implemented if necessary to prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
