Rivers Police Arrest Ghanaian Man for Allegedly Removing Tenant’s Roof in Port Harcourt

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have arrested a Ghanaian national, identified as Samuel Frimpong, for allegedly removing the roof of a tenant’s apartment in Mgbuoba, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

According to reports, the incident occurred following a dispute between the landlord and the tenant. The situation escalated when the suspect allegedly ordered the removal of the building’s roof, leaving the occupant exposed to harsh weather conditions.

The development drew the attention of residents in the area, who reportedly alerted authorities. Police operatives later intervened and took the suspect into custody for questioning.

The Rivers State Police Command is said to be investigating the matter to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to ensure appropriate legal steps are taken.

Authorities have urged landlords and tenants to resolve disputes through lawful means and avoid actions that could endanger lives or property.
