Osun Assembly Alleges N50bn LG Fund Diversion, Names Sacked APC Chairmen, Ex-Gov Oyetola, UBA

The Osun State House of Assembly has alleged the diversion of N50 billion in local government funds by former APC chairmen, accusing former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and United Bank for Africa (UBA) of complicity in the mismanagement.

The assembly claimed that funds meant for local government projects were improperly withdrawn and misappropriated, prompting calls for investigation and accountability. Lawmakers have called on relevant authorities to probe the matter and ensure transparency in the management of public resources.

The accused parties have yet to issue official statements regarding the allegations, and investigations are expected to follow as the assembly continues to scrutinize financial records related to the LG funds.
