Wike Commissions 12 Ambulances, Orders Recruitment of Health Workers to Boost Emergency Services in FCT


 The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has commissioned 12 new ambulances and approved the recruitment of health personnel to strengthen emergency healthcare services across Abuja.

Speaking during the commissioning exercise, Wike said the initiative is part of efforts to improve rapid response to medical emergencies and enhance healthcare delivery in the FCT. He noted that the ambulances would be strategically deployed to ensure timely access to emergency medical care.

The minister also directed the immediate recruitment of additional health workers, stressing that adequate staffing is critical to the effective operation of emergency services. According to him, the move aligns with the FCT administration’s commitment to improving public health infrastructure and saving lives.
