Security Agencies Arrest Nollywood Filmmaker Stanley Amandi Over Alleged Coup Plot


Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Stanley Amandi, has been arrested by security agencies in connection with an alleged plot to overthrow the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

According to security sources, Amandi was arrested alongside some military personnel as investigations continue into the suspected coup plan. He is alleged to have been recruited to carry out propaganda-related activities in support of the foiled plot.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and no official charges have been announced at the time of filing this report. Security agencies have reiterated their commitment to safeguarding national stability and ensuring that all individuals linked to the alleged plot are thoroughly investigated in line with the law.
