Police Raid Hotel in Anambra, Rescue 33 Underage Girls from Suspected Exploitation
The Anambra State Police Command has rescued 33 underage girls during a raid on a hotel suspected to be involved in child exploitation and illegal activities.
According to police sources, the operation followed credible intelligence linking the facility to the harboring and exploitation of minors. The girls were rescued safely and taken into protective custody, while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The police said efforts are being intensified to identify those responsible and ensure they are brought to justice. Authorities also noted that the rescued minors will be handed over to relevant social welfare agencies for proper care, rehabilitation, and reintegration.
The Anambra State Police Command reiterated its commitment to protecting vulnerable persons and urged members of the public to report suspicious activities to security agencies.
