Police Arrest 38-Year-Old Suspect Over 954 Explosive Materials in Zamfara

 

The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested a 38-year-old man found in possession of 954 suspected explosive materials during a security operation in the state.

According to the police, the suspect was apprehended while officers were carrying out routine patrols and intelligence-led operations aimed at strengthening public safety and reducing criminal activities across Zamfara.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the recovered items may have been intended for unlawful purposes. The materials have since been secured, and further forensic examination is underway to determine their exact nature and origin.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged in court after investigations are concluded. The Zamfara State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property and urged residents to continue supporting security agencies with credible information.
