The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has insisted that no individual or political group can force him out of Rivers State, amid ongoing political tensions in the state.

Wike made the statement while addressing supporters during a public engagement, where he reaffirmed his political relevance and influence in Rivers State despite the deepening rift within the state’s political leadership.

According to the former Rivers State governor, his roots, contributions, and long-standing political base in the state make it impossible for anyone to sideline or expel him from the political space.

“Nobody in Rivers State can push me out. I am not a stranger here, and I have paid my dues,” Wike was quoted as saying.

The declaration comes against the backdrop of continued political disagreements between Wike and some key figures within the state’s current administration, a situation that has fueled speculations about his standing in Rivers politics.

Despite the tension, Wike maintained that he remains focused on his responsibilities as FCT Minister while keeping a firm grip on political developments in Rivers State.

Political analysts say the statement underscores Wike’s determination to remain a dominant force in the state’s politics, even as alignments and loyalties continue to shift.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the Rivers State Government regarding Wike’s remarks.
