Nigerian Army Opens Applications for DSSC Course 29/2026

 

The Nigerian Army (NA) has announced the commencement of applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for commissioned officer positions.


The DSSC programme is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who meet the required qualifications and wish to serve in specialized corps of the Nigerian Army.


Available Corps Include:

 • Nigerian Army Engineers

 • Nigerian Army Signals

 • Nigerian Army Medical Corps

 • Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

 • Nigerian Army Education Corps


The application process is completely free and will be conducted online.


Application Timeline

 • Start Date: 7 January 2026

 • Closing Date: 4 February 2026
