Kwankwaso Reacts to Abba Yusuf’s Defection, Expresses Disappointment

Former Kano State Governor and leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has reacted to the defection of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, to another political party.

In his reaction, Kwankwaso expressed disappointment over the political development, describing the move as unexpected. He noted that the defection came despite the support and goodwill extended during the last general elections.

Kwankwaso, however, urged supporters to remain calm and focused, stressing that political alignments are part of the democratic process. He added that the party would continue to pursue its goals and strengthen its structures going forward.

As of the time of filing this report, Governor Abba Yusuf has not issued a detailed public response to Kwankwaso’s comments regarding the defection.
