INEC: Presidency, Governors Will Have No Influence Over 2026, 2027 Polls

 

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, has assured Nigerians that neither the President nor state governors will influence the conduct of the 2026 and 2027 elections.


He reaffirmed INEC’s independence and commitment to delivering free, fair, and credible elections across the country.
