I Am My Own Boss, Not Following Anyone’s Path — Yusuf Datti

Former vice-presidential candidate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has stated that he is not following the political path of anyone, stressing his independence and long-standing political ambitions.

Datti, who was the running mate to Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election, said he had already contested for the presidency before Obi emerged as a major political figure. According to him, his political journey is driven by personal convictions and vision, not by association with any individual.

The statement comes amid ongoing discussions about leadership, influence, and political identity within Nigeria’s opposition space.
