FRSC Confirms Fatal Crash That Claimed 12 Lives Along Yangoji–Abuja Road

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed a fatal road traffic crash that resulted in the death of 12 persons at Gada Biyu, along the Yangoji–Abuja corridor.


According to the FRSC, the incident involved multiple vehicles and occurred in the early hours, causing severe disruption to traffic along the busy route. Emergency responders were immediately deployed to the scene to carry out rescue and recovery operations.


The corps said several victims sustained varying degrees of injuries and were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment, while the deceased were evacuated from the crash site.


FRSC officials attributed the accident to factors yet to be fully determined, noting that investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of the crash. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution, obey speed limits, and adhere strictly to traffic regulations to prevent further tragedies.


The FRSC reiterated its commitment to road safety and urged drivers to prioritize caution, especially along high-traffic highways.
