The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared a sit-at-home exercise across Nigeria’s South-East region on February 2, citing solidarity with traders in Onitsha.

The group attributed the action to measures taken by Governor Charles Soludo, which they say negatively impacted local traders. IPOB urged residents to remain indoors on the specified date to demonstrate unity and support for the affected business community.

Authorities in the South-East have yet to issue an official response regarding the announcement, while traders and residents are monitoring the situation closely.
